Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Eubank Funeral Chapel in Canton. Burial will be in Chinquapin Cemetery. Mrs. Womble was born April 5, 1933, in Rapides Parrish, La., to John Daverson and Ella Mae Golemon Akins. Mrs. Womble grew up in Louisiana. She married Pete Womble on April 22, 1952. She has lived in Texas most of her life and in the Walton community for the past 32 years. She was a Baptist by faith. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Susan Elaine Womble; and a brother, J.D. Akins. Survivors include her husband, Pete Womble of Walton community; daughter, Kathryn Myers of Charlotte, N.C. ; son, Charles Edward and Patricia Womble of Walton Community; daughter, Betty Abendroth of Walton community; daughter, Ruthie and Tim Fetterman of Elkhart; nine grandchildren, Ange Shedd, Skip Myers, Robert Womble, James Womble, Travis Womble, Amanda Wilcox, Craig, Corry and Cooper Fetterman; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Aaron Akins of Alexandria, La., and Billy Akins of La Camp, La.; and two sisters, Marie Farmer of Hineston, La., and Madeline Akins of Seiper, La. Pallbearers are Robert Womble, James Womble, Travis Womble, Skip Myers, Brant Etheridge and Craig Fetterman. Honorary pallbearers are Corry Fetterman, Cooper Fetterman, Ange Shedd and Amanda Wilcox. Visitation will be Monday 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Published in the Tyler Morning Telegraph on 10/7/2007. .
