    Served as Deputy Sheriff in Leslie County, Kentucky from 1891 to 1893. Was bushwacked by Sam Begley at BullCreek, Kentucky around 1897. He was the s/o John Griffitts and Fannie Napier. He married Martha Sizemore d/o Russell "Ruck" Sizemore and Nancy Metcalf. He was my 2nd Great Grandfather

    John Griffitts was born Feb. 28, 1830 Harlan County, Ky. died Nov. 8, 1909 Leslie County, Kentucky. He served as a Private in Company L, 14th Kentucky Cavalry Regiment. He owned a Grist mill on Hell for Certain. was the son of Elihue Griffitts and Elizabeth Lewis. Fannie Napier was born June 23, 1828 Clay County, Ky and died June 8, 1912 Leslie County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Rene Napier and Ruth Hoskins. They were my 3rd Great Grandparents

    Martha Sizemore was born March 11, 1861 Clay County, Ky. and died march 3, 1941 Leslie County, Ky.. She was first married to James Griffitts and remarried Harmon North. She was the daughter of Russell "Ruck" Sizemore and Nancy Metcalf. She was my 2nd Great Grandmother
