Do not be alarmed when you see a name and don't know how its connected. I imported about a year ago a couple of GEDCOM's that were a mess and had isolated "islands" of individuals in them, primarily on my wife's side which is Windham, Wyndham, DeWyndomham of Nottingham, Suffolk, etc and has about 20,000 individuals in her tree. Some names I am actively pursuing are LEPSCH; FRANZ; BEZPALETZ; ORTMEIER, CLOSE; GSCHWIND; WINDHAM; SCHMIDT. My family is originally from Solothurn Province Switzerland (Batwill or Metzerland). My wife's family came to the US prior to the revolution and lived in Virginia and the Carolinas then traveled to Southern Tenn, and Mississippi and some relatives then moved to Alabama and one went to Texas and died in "deadwood" Tx. I am also trying to find the two volumes of books written on the Wyndhams by Hon John Wyndham published by Oxford Press in 1939 and 1950. My wife needs to find out more about her mothers side which is COLEMAN; HOGUE; and HILL near Ripley Ms.
