From a biography sketch in McDonough County, Illinois. I find that Hugh Wilson is said to have been born in Kentucky. And later moved to Blount County, Tennessee.
Hugh Wilson born on 10 March 1780. The son of John Wilson and Mary Craig.
Susan Nancy Skiles born 21 June 1782 Hagerstown, Frederick County, Maryland. She is the daughter of John Skiles and Elizabeth (unknown).
Hugh Wilson and Susan Skiles were married on the 10 February 1799 Blount or Greene County, Tennessee.
This Couple traveled a great deal during their first 20 years of marriage which is evident in that their children are born in the various states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana Territory, Missouri and Iowa.
Although many descendents of this couple are busy researching this ancestry. As of this date we have not yet determined the parents of either John Wilson or his wife Mary Craig.
I am to understand John's ancestors origionated from Prince William County, Virginia.
