Notes for Edith Headley: Edith's father was a doctor and pharmacist from Springfield, Illinois. He traveled the Louisiana bayou country on a stern-wheeler boat, "The Hazel Estelle", to provide medical care to many people. He was known as "Doe Headley." Edith and her two sisters boarded at the Catholic Convent school in Franklin, during the school term . They were not Catholic, but their parents choose the Convent for its good morals and discipline.
