In the 1880 census, Alfred, Cecile and their children lived in Ward 1, Iberia Ph. Louis SEGURA (SEGOURA) who is listed as adopted, lived with the family. Alfred's occupation was listed as "peddle goods."
In the 1900 census, Alfred DOTY and his family lived on Madison Street in Ward 6, New Iberia, Iberia Ph. Alfred's occupation was listed as a day laborer.
In the 1910 census, Alfred, Cecile and their children lived at 432 Gulton Street in Ward 1, New Iberia, Iberia Ph. Alfred's occupation was listed as a watchman in a foundry. Cecile is listed as speaking French.
Both the 1900 and 1910 census lists Cecile as the mother of 11 children with 7 living. Records for only 10 of the children have been located. The other child probably died at birth or a young age.
