My family research began when my aunts handed me the family tree and told me "you are now the family record keeper". For years the file sat safely tucked away until an illness brought me to them once again. Researching was not very easy before I recieved my first computer back in 1991, and since then the family tree has burst forth its branches. Online research is not such a daunting task with the right links.

In this family you will find names such as Rice, Smothers, Gilliam, Flood/Fludd, Bell, Moore, Ray, Cook, Kerley, Chounan, Trobaugh, Wheaton.

If you follow the Smothers line until it branches off to the Gilliam's, it will then branch off to the Flood/Fludd family, you will then see some Royal roots. It is very interesting and keeps me awake at night learning about the family history.
