I am Katherine [Kathy] Davis. Married name is Gurley . The Davis Family is from New York State originally From either the Troy or Schnectady are. My Grandfather was Samuel Elmer Davis Sr. and all I know about my grandmother is that her name was Laura, and she was Dutch. My Father Was James Elwood Davis and he had one brother, Samuel Elmer Davis Jr. I am an only child, as is my, cousin, Marcia. I have no married name for her. As children the parents and brothers lived on a farm, and I think Grandpa Davis was a railroad man. Grandmother raised prize dinner plate dalia's [flowers], and also prized Persian Cats, that won many blue ribbons at the N.Y.State Fair every year. My Father,james, was a Forestry Professor for N.Y. State . He was educated at Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y.As a child her had polio, and had a Obvious limp! He was married Katherine [Kay] Sandwick, also from N.Y.State
