Sept 6, 2001 Funeral service for John Slade Welter Sr, 82 will be held this morning at St Joseph's church. Interment will be at All Saints cemetery, Mr Welter died sept 2 in Wisconsin. After being a long time resident of Wilmette. He retired to San Antonio in 1985. He was a life-time employee of Prudential Insurance company. He was a member of St Joseph's church in Wilmette. Mr Welter was a hospital volunteer in San Antonio and at Botanic Garden, and a active member in Pearl Harbor Survivors Association. He was procedded in death by his wife Lucille. Survivios include daughter Catherine(ken) Stec. Three sons David J of Glenview, two grandchildren Andrew and Alizabeth and two brothers Charles and Hugh Welter.John slade Welter is barried at All Saints Cemetery Des Plaines grave 7 lot 27 block 1800 section 33 He was a long time resident of Wilmette, he retired to San Antonio in 1985.
