About Our Family Research


Henry Oscar Clausen, Sr. and Catharine Maria Petersen emigrated from Denmark to America about 1864 and were married in Shelby County, Illinois in 1867.

John and Richard Rodd emigrated to Canada about 1824 and then to America. John Rodd died in Williamson County, Illinois in 1878. He served in the Civil War and married Rebecca Mann in Willliamson County, Illinois in 1867. Rebecca Mann was a full-blooded American Indian. Rebecca Mann's father was Elijah Mann, born in Tennesse who was the son of Jeese Limuel Mann, Sr. who was born in Amelia County, Virgina, the son of Abel Mann of Amelia County, Virginia, born about 1754 and died in Robertson County, Tennessee about 1835.
