This is the updated page for my search of the Haggerty clan, that originates from New York state. Who are now living in Florida, California, and Oregon.
My original intent, was to trace back our history and roots for my daughter Narissa Rose. Since then I have discovered several interesting facts. I am now building an accurate family tree and history not only for her, but for myself also.
I know of the family crest, and have since learned that the Ross tartan. Although is listed for us, is most likely not. A variation of the scottish sept name McTaggart, listed as Haggart.
My Great Grandfather was a firefighter for New York City, on the the fireboats. Another relative was a splicer for NY Edison. Which is a strange fact, as both my father and I are splicers for our regional telephone companies.
Have a solid line back to my Great-Great-Grandfather Jerry Haggerty & wife Catharine, children were Daniel, Dennis, Catharine, & Micheal. Found in the 1880 Census
