| I am in Abilene, Texas and doing family research on the Hagins family line in any spelling. Abel Joseph Hagins came from Heard County Georigia via of Johnson County Texas to settle in Dickens COunty Texas and later in Kent County Texas close to current day Jayton,Texas.He was married to a Mary Francis Breed when he left Georgia and she had three children then. I do not have any information on her or his family or hers.I do family research as a part time living and search the Texas grave yards for any one that needs help. You can contact me at my e-mail for more information on this subject.I would appreciate any help in this name. I do know that the orginal Hagins came from Irland and I have traced that family to about 1200 there. The orginial cane be spelled as O'Hagan; There where three brothers that came to the United States and each chose their own spelling. |
