The Lepant Family of Nebraska

Updated July 15, 2001

About Our Family Research

I began researching my family history in 1989 in preparation for a family reunion. I started with my father's family and looked for the surnames of: LEPANT, RICH, EDWARDS, and SHORB. In the following years, I have researched the names on my mother's side:
PARKER, ARMAGOST, GEORGE, JAMES, HECKMAN, AND BOBB. The following is a brief outline:
LEPANT - or 'Lepanto'. My great-grandparents immigrated from
Sicily.
RICH - my great-great-grandparents immigrated from Prussia.
EDWARDS - my great-grandmother was from Cleveland, Ohio.
SHORB - my great-great-grandmother was from Canton, Ohio.
PARKER - I already have a lot of information on this line. My
family immigrated from England in the 1600's.
ARMAGOST - I have quite a bit of information on this family.
My ancestors came from Pennsylvania.
GEORGE - My great-great-grandparents immigrated from Wales. I
would like to find more information on this line. My
great-grandmother's maiden name was JAMES.
HECKMAN - I am looking for more information on this name. My
family came to Nebraska from Illinois.
BOBB - This family also came from Illinois, and I am currently
trying to find more information on them.
If anyone has any information on any of these names, I would appreciate the help you could give me...........Thanks!
