About Our Family Research


The Long Family Reunion is held the second Sunday of August of each year. The location is the lodge at Hugh White State Park in Grenada, MS. This location has been used since August of 1970. The first reunion was held at Enid Dam, Enid MS in 1967, the next two reunions were held at the Grenada Lake(spillway) in 1968 and 1969.

The reunions were presided over by Sam C. Long until his death May 11, 1998. He is missed very much.

I (Maxine L. Haley) currently preside over the reunions, but would gladly give it up to do my genealogy research at the reunions.
