Most of my research, so far, has been from individuals. I am handicapped and cannot get out to get a lot of records. My one grandmother kept good records for her Evans relatives, Lot and Sarah, who came from Wales in the 1700's with their children. I descended from James, who served in the Revolutionary War. They were Quakers and are buried in the Quaker Cemetery near Catawissa, Pa. Her father, Thomas Becker, was a mine boss and chased by the Molly McQuires in NE Pa. I am also looking for information on John M Jones and Mary Davis Jones, Hiram Baum Lewis and Mary Elizabeth Stumm and Lewis Jackson Klinetob and Catherine Dougher. All lived in Luzerne County, Pa. in the 1800s and the men were miners.
