We have various amounts of family history scattered around the state. My searches have been with no real direction and have not found any real clues as to our next step. So far I have been told verbally that we are decendents of an Indian tribe that was out of Northeastern Canada, The Mic Mac. Through one single correspondence with an address given to me by a local Indian tribe, I was told that there were no "pay records" available with that name on them. So as you can guess it stumped me. I have been sporadically asking questions, but, have no really pursued this for quite some time. Perhaps with the available web sites, Geneology.com, and a little more time to contact elder living relatives, I may be able to finally start to keep a running record of my family history to pass on to my children, of which I have 3.
