SCHMID, SCHMIDT, FRITZ, METZ, SPITZ, HARY, HARRY, HENNEMAN, CHRISTIANSON, WALTER, TRZEWIK, SHOPPE, SCHOMMER, KOWALKOWSKI

These are the names I have MOST of in my file...but there are PLENTY more!! The following areas are also most covered:

STEARNS, BENTON, CARVER, NOBLES Counties in MN, & CHIPPEWA COUNTY, WI. PRUSSIA, GERMANY, NETHERLANDS, BAVARIA, SWEDEN, etc...

Most of my research has been online or at the Stearns County museum in St. Cloud, MN in their Genealogy Research Center. I also borrowed some pedigree files, family sheets, and photo albums from various family members. I am always looking for more information...especially family stories and pictures which are so rare to come by. If anyone has anything they would be willing to share, or if you are looking for more information, please email me! I have only gone as far on this family tree to include my line of ancestors. My family tree file goes MUCH further than what is posted here, and I have a LOT to share if anyone is looking for common relatives.

  NOTE: Charles T. Schmid is listed in his travel records as Karl Huber. It is said that he and his family (not his 2 sisters though) came over on the SS City of Chester. He is said to have changed his (and the family followed suit) name to Schmid and then to Schmidt. His parents settled in Philadelphia, but he settled in Stearns Co. So, beyond Charles, no one is sure if they are Schmidts or Hubers, and I'm not sure if the 2 sisters that didn't come here with him changed their names or not as well.

  This is the wedding photo of Johanna Frances Mary Weinmann with William C. Schmid. The couple in the background is unknown but most likey they are family of one of the couples. The second photo is Johanna (thought to be called Frances).
