My father was born, raised and died in Sardis, Mississippi. My mother was born in Arkansas. She never knew her real father. My grandmother, Idelia Hicks, married a man with the last name of Hicks. My father had other children from a previous marriage. I know of one sister by the name of JoAnn. I remember seeing her the day my father died in September of 1980. That was 20 years ago and I wondered what happened to my other siblings and my grandmother's house in Sardis, Mississippi, and what happened to my aunts in Como, Mississippi.
