I am an eighteen year old African American female. I have always wanted to know more about my ancestry and family history, but because of events in this country's and my family's past, it is tremendously difficult to trace my heritage beyond a certain point. I am hoping to one day be able to follow my bloodline back to the first African in my family who came to this country.
