I am convinced that the Lollis' are the Lollis'. However in my brief time of hunting the old family ties, I do believe it was, as it still is, misspelled. I cannot tell the spellings I have found my ancesters with. There are numerous reasons.
I have been from Texas to Pennsylvania and back and the records are hard to determine if I belong or if I do not belong.
One thing I can say, through the frustrations and confussion,I have throughly enjoyed the hunt,and hunting to come.
I have made connection with a cousin in California, whom I would have never met except via this hunt and the internet.
I have discovered German ancestry I knew nothing of.
I know there is Irish and no telling what else. I just know I will continue until I can make the jump across the ocean!
