I have been working on this family tree for a few years. Most of the information that I have comes from my Grandmother, Flora Wrights records. The rest of the information is from the census records, a few people from Canton area and obituaries. I would also like to thank Marie Rutherford, of Madrid, NY and Pat Dominie, of Canton, NY.
This Wright family is from Canton, NY. My information begins with William and Elizabeth Sullivan Wright who had a farm on Irish Settlement Road, Canton, NY around 1850 to 1870, and then to Potsdam, NY in 1880, according to the census records. The lived next to the Sullivan’s and Riley’s, who are also part of our family tree.
We have been old the William Wright was born in Red Mills, NY which is near Lisbon, NY.
I would love to hear from anyone who has a connection to this Wright family and anyone willing to share information. It appears that I have run into a brick wall with this Wright family.
I am also working on my Grandmother's family. She was Flora Crump Wright. Her family names consist of Crump, Goodnough, Bero. If anyone has any information on a Charles Goodnough that married a Sophia Bero, from the Bombay area of NY, I would love to hear from you. I do know that Sophia Bero Goodnough appeared to live with her son Asa in Norfolk, NY when she passed. With the Bero family I have also hit a brick wall.
