I am a Whitton, married to a Harpel...
Of course, there were several other family names that got us to where we are on the 'universal genealogical tree.' We are trying to back-track and fill-in-the-blanks, if you will.
We are amazed about what we do not know about our families - mine, or my husband's. We would like to put together something for our children about where this all started...but have little to go on. My mother has done some research on the CRUMLEY side (Tennessee/Virginia,) but there is no one we can guestion about the WHITTON's (BRYMER/WHITTON - upstate NY and Virginia)...and my husband's mother is of little help in remembering her grandparents, or in finding out anything about his father's family...BRUNS/KUSSBOB/HARPEL (Ohio.)
There are Clark's, Miller's, Landwehr's, Kussbab's, and several more...perhaps some we have yet to become aware of. Will appreciate any and all information and questions...can supply few answers.
Mostly, we are interested in seeing how far back we can go with this...and, of course, in corresponding with long, lost - or never known relatives.
Mayhaps we are attempting too much on one page...the bringing of information for two entirely different families...but we are one family now.
