Donald E. Harris & Karol L. Short were born in Bloomington, IL and were married on June 9, 1956 and have lived in Torrance, CA in 1957, Bloomington, IL 1957 to 1978, then in Snow Hill, NC until 1980. Then we lived in Lexington, IL from 1981 until 1990. Then in Normal, IL from 1990 until 2010. Upon retirement, we spent winters in Kissimmee, FL.

There are three children: Karen Yvonne Harris who was born on May 10, 1966 and is married to Dan Dillow. Karen has two children, Casey Renee Slown and Jacob Stanley Slown from a previous. Christine Kay Harris who was born September 9, 1967 and is married to Jeffrey Alan Smith and lives in Durand, IL. They have two children, Haley Renee Ann Smith and Eli Donald Smith. Gregory Harris, who was born in Bloomington, IL on December 27, 1972. Greg now lives in Madison, WI.
