Looking for any Harris' that originated in or near Denmark TN around 1842. The names which I am familiar with are Richard "Archie" Harris who had a wife named Melissa(Wettle)(Weddle) who was born in 1847. Her parents were Stanford and Sylvia Newborn Weddle. They had 9 children: Archie 1865, Ike 1867,Frank 1869,Willie 1872, Robert 1874,Louie 1876, Clarence 1878, Susan Angilina 1881, and Corabell 1885. My grandfather Will E. Harris moved to Marianna, AR in his teenage years. After Richard's death in 1889, Melissa married Alexander Davis and moved to the St. Louis area where she had a daughter named Flory Harris Davis. Will married in 1903 to Minnie Lucile Boyd (George and Minerva Cline (Jones)were her parents). He from KY and she from TN he died approx 1938,in Montgomery county MS she in 1894 Lee county AR. There were 5 children from the marrige of Will E. Harris and Minnie. Willa Mae, Essie,Irving, Zelma and George all born between 1903-1917. The later 3 still survive. Will died in 1923 in Marianna AR.
