Marinovsky-Slutsky

About Our Family Research

We're looking for information relating to Slutsky and Marinovsky branches of our family. Max Slutsky and Pauline Marinovsky both came to the United States from Kiev at the turn of the century. Pauline and her younger sister were sent by their parents to relatives and Chicago. Max became a tailor in South Bend, Indiana. I'm not sure of their parents names, or if either one had siblings (other than Yetta). There also seems to be a chance that Yetta and Pauline were not full sisters, as we do not believe that Yetta was ever married, yet her legal name was Yetta Kopinksy. Also, Marinovsky may not be the original spelling of the family name, it seems there is a chance that the name was changed at Ellis Island.

Max Slutsky- b. 1 July 1890, d. April 1970

Pauline Mariovsky- b. 15 July 1892, Mar 1975

Yetta Kopinsky- b. 22 December 1894, d. 1975
