I am a descendant of the Kirby Clan of Duagh, County Kerry, Ireland. A number of my clan emigrated to San Francisco beginning in the late 1840's with John O'Keefe. His nieces and nephews followed him there. I would like to know of any West Coast Kirby/O'Keefe reunions in the Bay Area. I have Kirby relatives living the Aptos, Santa Cruz area. If there are no reunions I would like to have information on how to organize one.
Any Kirby's out there? I have been to Duagh. Bill Joe Kirby is the owner of the land. His great grandfather John Kirby and my great grandfather, Timothy W. Kirby were brother. Timothy emigrated to San Francisco circa 1880. Timothy's uncle John O'Keefe was living with him when he died.
