About Our Family Research


I started my research looking for my mysterious ggreatgrandfather James J. Taaffe. Who,where,why and when were the questions that fueled my interest.I have only answered the who and when my quest seems to be an all consuming thing that sometimes I think that it has a life of it's own.So I keep on looking searching for that loose brick in the proverbial wall that we all run into doing this type of research.
At the time of my grandmother's death in 1992(James Taaffe granddaughter)there was at least 103 living decendent and the family is still growing.
The family still gets together to celebrate weddings,birthday's,baptisms and good old Irish wakes.
