Polly Would Go To The Pollard Farm To Do House Keeping Some Times. She Would Take Jake Water And They Became Very Close.
He Was Murdred By Bushwhacking Union Soldiers Because He Would Not Or Could Not Tell Them Where The Pollard Family Kept There Money.
The Pollard Family Found Jake's Body Close To Which Is Now Pollard Cemetery Rd.
They Took Him Up Into The Woods And Buried Him At The Southwest Corner Of The Fenced Field 200 Ft North Of Pollard Cemetery Rd, 1.5 Miles West Of Junction Three Island Rd, 1.5 Miles West Of Juncion Old Kentucy Rd. A Single Field Stone As A Marker (Has Been Painted Blue) By The Fence In Edge Of Woods. No Inscription.
