Notes for Nancy Ann Miller: She was born at her parent's apartment at 1115 Avenue B in Port Neches, TX. She worked at Burkett's Jeweler's in downtown Port Neches during High School and College.
Nancy hired on at Texas-U.S. Chemical Company in Port Neches during the fall of 1960. She took maternity leave after the birth of her son Ron. During that time her postion at Texas-U.S. was filled with another employee. On December 18, 1961 she was once again employed by Texas-U.S. and worked there until her retirement in 1998.
Nancy died at her residence of lung cancer. The following is her obituary as it appeared in the April 24th edition of the Port Arthur News:
Nancy Ann Miller Harvey PORT NECHES - Nancy Ann Miller Harvey, 58, of Port Neches died Thursday at her residence. She was a native of Port Neches and a retired executive assistant with Ameripol Synpol, Inc., in Port Neches. She was a member and preschool department supervisor at First Baptist Church of Port Neches. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Pat A. Riley Funeral Home in Nederland. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Port Neches with the Revs. David Mahfouz and Doug Young officiating. Burial will be in Oak Bluff Memorial Park. Survivors include a daughter, Rayna Headrick of Pasadena; a son, Ron A. Harvey of Port Neches; a brother, Bobby Lee Miller of Fairchild, Texas; her father Eddie Lee Miller of Port Neches; and four grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be made in the form of donations to the First Baptist Church of Port Neches.

Marriage Notes for Nancy Ann Miller and Thomas "Tom" Ray Harvey: Thomas and Nancy's first date was Nancy's senior prom (1958) at Port Neches-Groves High School. Thomas and Nancy were engaged in the fall of that year. Thomas was in the Army and in December of 1958 was sent overseas for duty. He returned to the States in July of 1960. The couple wasted no time and were married the following month. Nancy had the wedding completely planned when Thomas arrived from overseas. The wedding ceremony was held at the First Baptist Church in Port Neches with Rev. J.Q. Woodard officiating.
Their first home was a rent house on Dallas Street in Port Neches. The house was owned by C.B. Lindsey, Sr. After their son Ron was born they moved to another rent house next door to Bill and Zelma Poss. It was located on 12th ? street in Nederland (the first street off of Twin City Highway). The Poss's used to live in that house but had built a place next door to it and were renting out their old place. On May 30, 1961 they moved into a house at 505 Combs Drive in Port Neches. They lived there until 1974 when they moved to 2620 Staton Lane.
