I have been researching the William Hatfield lines of Murderkill 100 Kent County Delaware for over 30 years. Inaccurate materials given to me early on showed William and Mary Hatfield coming from Haverfordwest Wales in 1702 +/- This is not true.
Recent research concretely shows this progression;

Married bout 1640 to wife Elizabeth children at least JOhn b about 1650, elizabeth shown on migration papers to MD 1676 and two others
John Hatfield 1650 in b usiness with Arthur Whitely 1680 by court records md Audling Whitely dau of Arthur JOhn died 1725 Dorchester MD Had son JOhn William b 1702
John William 1702 md Mary White Dau of William and SArah about 1723 Children elizabeth 1725, Levi 1 727 (Mary Muncey dau of Levy according to will records) JOhn about 1 730 father of the Montgomery CoOH lines of Thomas and SArah Allen Hatfield, also Samuel and JOhn who died 1781 Rev; William 1733 md Mary White dau of Richard and Elizabeth Paramore White of Kent DE; Whitely b 1741, Also SArah and Mary.
William and Mary White William born 1733 died 1797. According to Will 1797 children Levi, Levin, William, Jonathon, Whitely, Nathaniel, Owen John b 1773 Mary, Sarah and Elizabeth all b between 1770 and 1795. William, Levi, Levin, Jonathon, Whitely and Owen JOhn to Hamilton Co OH by 1799/1801 settled in Montgomery Co OH near Centreville. Went surety for Hannah Hatfield DAvis upon death of Thomas 1804. Hannah was the daughter of John d 1781 brother Jamesalso.

(Thomas 1791 md Isabelle Elizabeth ARcher and settled Allen Co IN 1824 may have been a son to Thomas and SArah.) Owen D Hatfield b 1819 Montgomery Co OH and others.
Owen D Hatfield 1819 d 1891 Mahaska County Iowa. Buried Olivet Married Telinda Ann dau of Joseph Jones Jackson and wife Lydia Jefferies of Wilkes County NC. This family was in Indiana by 1820 and settled in Allen County IN. Joseph was the son ofo William and Abigail Gillum Jackson.

Joseph Newton Hatfield md Nancy Garis dau of Henry and Clarissa Hatfield Garis. Clarissa was the dau of Levi therefore Owen D sister. Nancy was her husband's first cousin. Children were Clarence E, Roy, Guy, and another son Dau Anna was b Mar 1887 Nancy died of childbed fever. Anna died of "cholera infantum' in May of 1887 both bu ried Olivet Cem Mahaska Co IA
Joseph, Guy, and Roy went to Missouri. Clarence died in 1898 unknown cause.
Lydia Rachel b 1854 died 1870.
Son of William and Laura Hatfield were Willard Clifton and Ulysess Milton Hatfield b 1867 and 1869 both died at about 44 years of age from Heart trouble.
