The ST. ANDRE / HEBERT Family of Louisiana and Beyond

Updated October 27, 2006

About Our Family Research

My immediate family is from Opelousas, Louisiana. We are considered CREOLES: a mixture of African, French, Indian, and Hispanic.

My mom's side:
The ST. ANDRE family originated from France, migrated to Natchitoches and moved across the United States.
The RAMONA family originated from Mexico.
The MARTEL family originated from France.
The SIMIEN family from Alabama.
The GIRON family - I think they came from France/Italy.

My dad's side: I am having a problem finding them in records.
The HEBERT family is from France.
The RICKET family is from North Carolina.
The VENTRESS family from Kentucky.
The JAMES family.
My family history is a work in progress.
