My Name is Sandie Deal Ellzey. My Grandfather was James Harvey Deal and my Grandmother was Helen Pauline Roden. I am searching both lines of my Fathers family. This has taken me from NC to IN to Iowa and a few stops in between on my grandfathers side and from TN, MS, MO, CA and then to Iowa on my Grandmothers side. My Grandmothers father was William Arthur Roden and disappeared one day in 1917 when my grandmother was only 10, never to be heard from again. His father was W.T. Roden and I have a clear line on him for most of his life. W.T.'s father was Felix Grundy Roden and even though I know where he lived at times in his life and I know where he died and is buried, I have not as of yet be able to fine out who his parents were or which of his 2 wives was the mother of my gg grandfather, W.T. I spend time on all of the connected families but my main goal at this time is getting past the road block Felix Grundy Roden as put up for me.
