I am just starting out to trace my family history. I am married to James Hedgelong. We have two children, Sharon & Bradley, and two grandchildren (soon to be three) Tyler & Courtney. James & I were married in Proserpine in 1965.
My interest lies in tracing my family tree both mother and father back to England I have a great grandmother by the name of Bamburgh on my Mothers side, and I can only go as far back as my fathers father & mother on his side.
My parents had four children one son and three girls. My older brother Frederick Walls's gfather was killed at the end of WW2 my father then married mum and they produced three daughters, Mary Josephine, Ann Elizabeth, born - Kyogle NSW & Eve Dawn, born - Thursday Island Torres Strait.
Mum & Dad moved to Australia in the early post war years Dad was a teacher. We liver in Kyogle NSW, then moved to Darnley Island, Torres strait where I spent most of my childhood.
