The Hedges of Clark County originally were from Ohio. First settled in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and W. Virginia. As early as 1850, James V. Hedges is shown as a resident of Clark County. Later Joseph and Mary Hedges moved to Clark County, Melrose Township abt 1868. My GGFather, "Franklin Pierce Hedges" and his wife Susan Katherine Marvin had five childern. Ragan Luster Hedges (founder of HEDGES STORE) was last child born of Frank and Susan. Ragan was my Grand Father b: 1899 and died 1975. His only son, Robert O'Neil Hedges is my Father, b: 08-21-1922 still living.
