Wife: Marie E. McBride Born Dec. 8, 1928 Died Mar. 10, 1996 Marie was a great person who helped me and wanted to help all others. I always wanted to dance, Marie was a great dancer who would dance with anybody, she taught me and we continued dancing through our married lives. We met in Jan. 1950 at a basement party. Before we married Marie was a secretary for lawyers. After we married she worked when the lawyer's regular secretary was on vacation. She went to work full time at McDonnell Douglas when I was layed off. We had 2 misscarriages four girls then a boy. My father Paul A. Heilweck supported his family working for postal telegraph when he was 8 or 9 years old. He had no education beyond 2nd grade. He became a telegrapher eventually and made good money until the depression. He then worked for a coal company and other small jobs. In the late 30's he became manager of the St. Louis municipal airport. When World War II started he went to work for the federal gov't handling shipping of materials across the country. After the war he worked at the fed. records center. When the center moved to Philadelphia he quit and got a job as dispatcher, later record keeper for the St. Louis Police Dept. My mother Katheryn (nee West) was dominent in the family. She was active at church and was usually home when I came home from school, in fact I usually came home for lunch. She had a fantastic memory. If she knew someone she knew all about their family. We always got together for thanksgiving and Christmas. After our marriage we had two Thanksgivings and three Christmases.
