I have been searching for my dad's side of the family. Would love to hear from any relatives or anyone that has information on any of the families listed.
Yotty Family -
My great great grandparents, Christian and Catherine Stalter Yotty immigrated to America from Germany around 1838 and settled in Woodford Cty., Illinois. The surname Yotty was Jorde/Yordy before changing. Christian and Catherine had six children: (1)John (my great grandfather) married Josephine Phillip, (2)Mary married Joseph Klopfenstein, (3)Henry married Mary Alice Hoover, (4)Joseph never married, (5)Catherine married Christian Ehrisman, and (6)Jacob married Annie Bachman.
John and Josephine Yotty had 8 children: (1)Kate married Arthur Philp and resided in Dixon, Lee Cty., IL they had two children - Glen and Nona - neither married. (2) Joseph married Lodyca Eastman and resided in Peoria, IL they had one child - Mildred she died as an infant. (3)Anna married Edward Everett and resided in Eureka, IL and had two children - Pauline died in 1919 and Gilbert never married. (4) Edith married John Strickler and resided in Dixon, IL and they had two children - Lloyd and Hazel. Edith and John both died in 1900 and their children were raised by Patrick and Sadie Duffy in Dixon, IL. (5)Albert married Anna Eleanor Walker (my grandparents) and resided in Peoria, IL and had one child -Donald (my father). (6)Frank never married (7)Phoebe married John Kyle and resided in Eureka, IL and had two children - Morris married Gladys Morrow no children and Alice married Ernest Humes and they had two daughters, Carol and Cathlene. (8) Christopher never married.
Walker Family -
My great great grandparents William and Elnora Spuggs(?) Walker were from England and immigrated to America sometime in the mid to late 1800's and may have lived around Baltimore, Maryland area. I do not know how many children they had other than my great grandfather - Dr. John Henry Walker (received his degree at the Baltimore Medical College)who married Margaret Theresa Fischer in Louisville, KY and lived in various states (PA, OH,IN and IL)before settling in Peoria, IL. They had 8 children together: (1)William F married unknown but divorced, resided in Peoria, IL and had one son, Edward. (2)Margaret married several times 1st husband ? Anderson, 2nd ? Brano, 3rd Lester Bassett. Margaret was a dancer in New York and retired to Boca Raton, FL. (3)Charles never married (4 & 5)Eleanor Anna and Elizabeth - twins - Elizabeth died at 2 yrs. Eleanor married Albert Yotty (my grandparents) and resided in Peoria, IL with one child, Donald. (6)Kathryn married Milton Arndt and resided in Rock Island, IL and later Trenton, NJ. They had one son - Albert H. (Bill). (7)George Albert married Hildegarde Marzahn and resided in Quincy, IL they had one son, George A.,Jr(8)John H. Jr. died as an infant.
I have only a little amount of information on my Walker family and would love more. I do know my great grandmother had one brother, John Fischer who resided in Peoria, IL and two sisters, Elizabeth married Louis Klaer and had at least one daughter, Catherine and Mary married George Gumbel they had 4 children: Catherine, Matthew, Louis, and William. Both sisters resided in Louisville, KY. I do have some dates. I would love to hear from any Fischer or Walker family member.
I am willing to share any extra information I have.
