For the past three years I have been tracing my family back as far as I can. My mother started this several years before this. She has since passed away and I am trying to continue where she left off. I watched how she did it and I thought that there should be an easier way. Unfortunately there isn't. I have made it back to my Great Grandfather Heitman who was an orphan. I was able to find out his mother's name from his Marriage License but his father's name was not listed. I will continue the search and hopefully I will be able to go beyond him back to the old country. If anyone can help, it will be greatly appreciated.I would like to hear from any Heitman's out there.
