My name is Henry J Heintzberger, born 12/24/1915, son of Hendrik Heintzberger (9/13/1882) and son of Johannes Hendrikus H. born 7/15/1855. Johannes Hendrikus had 14 children of whom I can Name 12. These are Gerrit(1/22/1879 in Zutphen, Hendrik, Marie (Abt 1883), Frans Carel (12/6/1884), Willem (Abt 1886), John Martinus (Abt 1887), Leo Anicetus (Abt 1890), M.Johanna (6/6/1891),Petrus Nicolaas (10/06/1892),Wilhelmina S. (7/24/1895), Agnes C (12/3/1896) and Lucia M (12/3/1896). Johannes's first three children were born in Zutphen and the rest were born in Doesberg, Holland.Recently a new entry on the Internet showed the parents of Johannes to be Frans Carel & Johanna Heintzberger (born Abt 1820 and both deceased on 12/26/1867) and the grandparents of Johannes to be Matthias and Francisca Heintzberger born Abt 1800 and also deceased on 12/26/1867. Wonder what caused all those deaths. My father often said that his father was an orphan and the record does show that he was orphaned at the age of 12. I now have fairly complete records of the offspring of Johannes's children with the one exception of Gerrit (born 1879). I also have located a Belgian branch of the family and they have given me their family tree back to the 1860' or so. We cannot establish a positive connection of the Dutch and Belgian families but it appears likely that it goes back to the days of the Frans Carel born in 1820. There is also an Australian branch given to me by Marie Heintzberger. We can not establish a positive connection yet but their is some thought that they may be descendants of Gerrit (born 1879). We are still working on this. Another branch of the family in Germany has come to my attention and I have ordered Family Tree Volume 16 to check this out. The Heintzberger name is obviously German and there is a small town in Germany called Heintzberg
