Valerie come to the USA in 1901 on Ellis island and then straight to the Kansas city Missouri area. she meet her Brother Richard (Shorty) Eeckhout who was already in the Kansas City Mo area he had come in about 1888/1887. Her sister also come to the USA a couple months after Valerie did, her name was mary. Richard died in 1903 and Mary died 6 months later after her brother did. leaving Valerie the only one left other then an Uncle which I have no idea his name. Valerie married John (jno) Heimann in 1902 son of Stephen Heimann from Prussia.
