Son of Thomas H. Heidorf II..was born in the family home at Hudson Falls, New York on October 2 1947....completed k thru grade one in Hudson Falls school system and then moved to the Town of Argyle , New york. Grew up on the farm at North Ridge Road and attended Argyle Cental School until graduation in June 1965. Attended one year of College at Adirondack Community College in Hudson Falls and then entered the US Army for military service in Vietnam in November of 1966. Graduated from the Us Army Aviation School in March of 1969 and entered the war zone in Vietnam in April 1969. Served in Vietnam until April 1970. Was awarded the Air Medal (21 Awards), Bronze Star, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal(2 Campaigns)while flying 1100 combat hours in the L-19 (Bird Dog) for the 21st Reconnaissance Aircraft Company based in Chu Lai, Vietnam. Served as flight instructor in the L-19 and T-41 aircraft at the Army Aviation Fw Q-Course at Ft Stewart Georgia until approx Feb 1973. Served in the 55th Aviation Company in Seoul Korea for one year until approx April 1974 flying U-21 Aircraft. Attended the Rotary Wing Q- Course at Fort Rucker , Alabama and then assigned to Cefirm-Leader (ASA) based in El Paso, Texas until approx August 1976. Then Assigned to the Army Corps of Engineer flight Detachment in Ryhiad, Saudi Arabia. then departed military service in approx April 1979 at Fort Dix, New Jersey. Was hired by Altair Airlines, based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, flying the BE-99, ND-262 and FK-28 until the bankrukptcy in 1982. Worked for the owner of Altair as his personal pilot flying King Air 200 until being hired by Continental Airlines in January of 1984. Currently flying for continental Airlines, qualified in the Boeing 757 , 767, B-727, B737, DC-9, MD-80 and flight enginer on the DC-10.
