The Heister family reunion is held annually on the Sunday before Labor Day in Stillwater, Oklahoma (Sirloin Stockade:11:00AM-2:00 PM)Heister Family genealogy dates back to early 1700's and the Emerson Family back to 1735, beginning with : "James The Regulator Emerson"..my Emerson family-James Melvin & Marth Emerson left Young Harris, Georgia on a wagon train in 1797..my Heister family-Waldo Page & Nan Heister were born in Venago County, Pennsylvania and came to Christian County, Missouri in 1871 and on to Oklahoma in 1899.
