This line of Helmich family (F.E. and Emilie Helmich) came from Germany approxiametely in 1882 through Port of New York on the Rotterdam ship. The family settled in central Arkansas. Other family members (Storch) then traveled to Canada and settled near Alberta.

A family renunion has been scheduled for July 27 & 28, 2002 to be held at Zion Lutheran Church of Avilla, Arkansas. This is the church that was founded in 1882 by this German community.

A book containing family history of the Helmich, Hill, Storch and other related families will be created for this event. If you believe to be a part of this family, please do not miss out on this opportunity to meet or revisit family and friends.
