We are the Hellers from South Carolina, having arrived on Jan 15, 1751 in Charleston. Our progenitor in USA was Johann Heller from the Palatinate area (Rhine Valley) of western Germany, close to Swiss border.

We are probably related to Yom Tov Lippman Heller although we are still researching for definitive proof.

Most Hellers in America were/are Lutheran, however, not Jewish. Whether they were Jewish or Lutheran in Germany is not clear since we have not been able to research beyond the arrival of Johann Hellter in 1751.
