My oldest daughter started the research. She knew I wanted to meet my birth father and find out about the other side of my heritage. She located my dad. He and I wrote letters, talked on the phone and spent some time together. On May 7, 2005 my dad passed away. I wish we would have had more times together. He wanted me to go to the family reunion in 2003 with him so he could introduce me to the rest of the family, but I had to work. Now I will never get to attend one with him. My family has a reunion every year.
I have met some of my cousins through the family webpage. They are very wonderful ladies and alot of help. They have sent me pictures and family history. I spend hours online everyday trying to learn more.
I especially want to locate my five sisters and 2 brothers. I know their names and birthdates, their mothers' names, and in some cases the town and state.
I got to meet my cousin Debby Wright in person. She is more like a sister. We are only a couple weeks apart in age. She has been a big help and very supportive.
