Thanks to a newspaper article written back in 1966, (I was only 10 years old when I received my copy of this article) I started to wonder about the James Family history. I kept that article all these years, (I am 43 Now) My parents and sisters & I went to Maine to see my brother back in 1996. We decided to look up a Tobacco Plantation located in Virginia that was mentioned in the newspaper article. It was amazing to find the exact location of the James Family Plantation! We also got very lucky while we were there. We met the Plantation's current owner, and his son gave us alot of family bible information dating back to the 1700's. I have compiled a list of names and dates. We had a James Family reunion in Nebraska in 1982, then again in 1998.
I will add more information as I go along and learn how to put everything together.
