My Father - Robert Thomas Helmick--From West Virginia- Fairmont Area --Born Oct 21st, 1920 -- Deceased April 1984 (In Westland, Michigan).
My Mother - Edna Gay Clayton (Helmick) from Clarksburg WV
My Brother - Ronald A Helmick - Born Clarksburg WV Nov. 23rd 1946.
I was born in Clarksburg WV on Feb 14th. 1949.
Do not know much about my father he left us when I was a Baby. (About 1 yr.old) and my brother was around 3 yrs. old.
He remarried in Michigan to a Kathrine they had a Son Robert Helmick Jr. there, and I think my father has a daughter named Lisa Ann, who I think lives in Michigan., Her mothers name I do not know.
I also, think he had other children. But, do not have any info on them.
My father had a sister Betty Helmick (Vingle) -lived in Fairmont (Worthington Area) and Was married to Virgil Vingle she had two daughters named Becky & Judy they now live in Florida. They are my first cousins. I have talked with Beckie by phone. Have not been able to talk with Judy.
I think my grandmother Helmick my fathers mother was called Willy?
Anyway all:: My father, His sister and His Mother passed away in the 1980's.
My father was buried in Michigan and my Aunt Betty Vingle and my grandmother Willy(?) are buried in Fairmont (I think)
I once contacted my fathers wife in Westland Michigan but my half-brother Bobby Helmick would not contact me.( Sure hope if he sees this he will change his mind and contact me) I would love to talk with him.
I sure would love to hear from any half brothers or sisters that I may have out there as I don't have any family left. Except for my husband and step-children... I have all my life wanted to connect to someone who could tell me anything about my fater (good or bad) Smile!
AND I WOULD LOVE TO FIND BROTHERS OR SISTER OUT THERE..
