I beleive our line comes from Thomas Helton who was born
1762 in Rowan Co., N.C. According to Caldwell Co. census in 1850 Thomas, his wife Sarah, and daughter Mary lived with Henry Miller. Sarah was born in 1775 in Virginia. I beleive Thomas and Sarah had two children. Named ???? Helton and Mary Helton, Mary was born in 1805. ??? Helton married Elizabeth ??? Helton. Elizabeth was born in 1805 in Burke Co., N.C. ??? Hetlon and Elizabeth had 6 children. Mary (b. 1831); Jane (b> 1833); Elizabeth (b. 1834); John N. (b. 1838)-- all of these children were born in Burke Co., N.C. The other two children were born in Caldwell Co., N.C.; Moses (b. 1843); Harriett (b. 1846). The census of 1850 did not list Elizabeth's husband, ??? Helton, not therefore, I beleive he may have passed away between 1846 and 1850. I need any information on allt he above names. I have information on John N. Helton that I will share with anyone interested, he is my great-grandfather.
