PERTH WEDDING
SKIRROW - McCRAW.
A slim fitting gown in ivory satin was worn by Miss Margaret McCraw, eldest daughter of the late Mr James McCraw and of Mrs McCraw, 36 Friar Street, Craigie, Perth, for her wedding in the Station Hotel, Perth, yesterday, to Mr Philip Wilson Skirrow, B.A., B.Litt., eldest son of Mr B. B. Skirrow and of the late Mrs Skirrow, Swansea.
The bridegroom was formerly on the staff of Strathallan School, and is now senior history master at Wigan Grammar School.
Rev. Wm. McCraw, M.A., Bow of Fife, a cousin of the bride, performed the wedding ceremony, while Mr Wm. McCraw gave his sister away.
Trimming of diamente adorned the bodice of the wedding gown, which was fashioned with fully flared skirt and long sleeves, while the daintily arranged veil of embroidered net was secured to the head by a band of orange blossom. She carried a sheaf of arum lilies.
Miss Jean McCraw attended her sister as - bridesmaid. She had chosen a sleeveless frock of floral georgette, printed on a blue ground and trimmed with billowing frills of pale blue organdie round the foot.
She also wore a coatee of the same material as her frock and a picture hat of white crepe-de-chine, while her gouquet was composed of red carnations.
The duties of best man were carried out by Mr A. D. Skirrow, brother of the bride-groom.
Receiving the guests was Mrs McCraw, who was wearing a gown of black georgette allied to black lace, while her coatee was of black lace. Her smart hat of black velours was relieved with touches of grey.
She was assisted by Miss Skirrow, the bridegroom's sister, who wore a stylish gown of red silk with hat to tone.
When the bride and bridegroom later left for the honeymoon tour the bride had changed into a pretty beige coloured frock of patterned georgette, which she wore under a coat of beige wool, the latter handsomely trimmed with squirrel and broadtail Her hat was of beige velour to tone.
