John Bernhard Horsker was born 8/7/1833 in Burgsteinfurt, Germany and emigranted to the US approximately 1854 with his brother Rudolph. Before then there is not much that I know. John B. married Christiana Friedericke Speidel in 1858 in Philadelphia, PA and had 12 children, Edward, having died at the age of 5 in 1883. The youngest, Louis Franklin Hersker (b. 1880) was my grandfather.

Louis Frank Hersker married Martha Jane Correll (b. 1884) in 1908. Martha ("Jennie") had a previous child, Lester James West (b. 1903). Louis and Martha's children were: Henry (b. 1909), Christina (b. 1911), Elmer (b. 1912) and my father, Edward (b. 1916).

My Father, Edward Allen Hersker married Alberta Regina Marks (b. 1916). My father's first two children before marrying my mom were: Edward Louis (b. 1936)and Eugene Edward (b. 1939). My brothers are: Thomas Curtis (b. 1945) and Edward Allen (b. 1946) and me, Donna (b. 1957).

My mother's parents were Curtis George Marks (b. 1868) and Elizabeth McCartin (b. 1870). My mother had 10 brothers and sisters: Francis ("Nellie"), Catherine, George, Elizabeth, John, Anna, Margaret ("Dolly"), Mary, Donald, Alice and my mother, Alberta.

I may attach some pictures in the future of unknown people and if you can idenitfy them, please let me know. I also may attach a picture that you are in and if you do not approve, please let me know also.
