I am the brother of James Pius Hersey, sons of Clifford Perry Hersey and Shirley Francis Matt. I was named after my Grandfather, Eugene Charles Hersey who was married to Martha Canning from England.
By first name the genealogy goes like this: Clifford-11, Eugene-10, Arthur--9, Moses-8, Sylvanus-7, Thomas-6, Joeseph-5, Joseph-4, William-3, William-2, William-1.
Several years ago, my wife, Judy Ann Ksiazek, located the entire American Hersey family, descended from William Hersey, since 1612. It came in a book form titled, "The Hersey Family", written and compiled by Stephan F. Hersey. The copy I have is from 2001, and I would like to see have an updated version.
It would be fun to take this basic listing and flesh it out with occupations accomplishments and other life stories... wouldn't it?
I have been dislocated from my Dads family all my life and would love to hear from family.
